Snacks & a 2-minute ‘apple crumble’

Such an easy, delicious, and balanced snack!

I get asked all the time if I recommend snacking, and while there isn’t one answer for everyone, I generally do recommend some form of balanced nutrition between meals if they’re spaced out more than 4 hours!

Generally speaking, the timeframe between lunch and dinner (and dinner to bed) can be quite lengthy for some, so this is the time a snack could be really beneficial!

If you’ve worked with me, or followed me for long enough, you know that I preach balanced eating in the form of combining foods to help with the digestion and the absorption of nutrients, to increase satiety, and to help with proper mood and hormone regulation throughout the day.

For example, pairing a carbohydrate like crackers, fruit, or granola with some form of protein like peanut butter, Greek yogurt, or cheese.

Recipe:

1. Dice 1 apple (with skin) into bite-sized pieces and microwave for 1.5-2 minutes

2. Top with some peanut butter, granola (I used Nature Valley high protein chocolate granola), cinnamon, and maple syrup/brown sugar as needed!
